| keith-robert McCrory | Hi I attended 90-95 just wondering if they still teach Judo at the school as Mr Waddell we got it started. Great memories came flooding back reading the names of the teachers from my time. I now live in England with my wife and 4 children and I'm a fully trained master butcher and would like to thank Mr Russell, Mrs Black, Mrs Armstrong and Mr Black for putting up with my attitude and realizing my true potential. | Malcolm Hollywood | Went to The Model in the 70,s lots of crack'n' memories, reading through some of the posting. The old names brought a smile to my face - Spot, Gusher, Windy, Sid Boal, Jimmy Barr, etc. Remember great times with Gusher Neilly and Jimmy Barr down in Churchill (Ernie's old homestead). So sad to hear of his passing - he was an inspiration to me. THANKS for the memories Malcolm (1e,2e,3e,4e and 5e and ex-McNeilly house), all the best to Jim Keith, his staff and pupils for the future. Forgot to mention Andy McMorran who I bump into the odd time and who is continuing to inspire more young people, in his roll as Headmaster of Ashfield Boys School. Signed on: 3/02/10 |
| william scott (scotty) | I went between 1974-1979, in fact I walked out on the 23rd May 1979 at 3.10. It had its moments - the sport was all good, took a while for football to be included at a rugby school - all thanks to Andy Moran - what a star! Signed on: 30/01/10 |
| Alan (tampy) Thompson | What a school. I attended from 1996 - 2001 and has gave me some of the best memories of my life (so far). Mr. Cotton was an outstanding teacher there. I hope he is still there with his dirty fingers, hope you wash your hands before lunch!! Signed on: 4/01/10 |

| jack davidson | Living in Calgary Canada for 38 years now. Have many found memories of the Model. Attended between 1966-70. The great teachers we had and the fun to attend that school will always be a very important part of my life. I tell my kids and our grandkids stories of the days we spent trying to out smart the teachers, and that usually ended up with a good cane or strapping. Remember Mr Webster anyone, the shop teacher. Philip Morrow, Brian McCandless and I turned the lath coolant nozzle so it would squirt up and hit Mr Webster in the face, we did it as a dare. However, I think I still have welts from the caning he gave us. We used to hide in the school play ground at luch time so we could hopefully be at the end of the lunch line to get more food. Seemed if you were at the end you got what was left, usually more than you could eat. We also had some days were they ran out. Thanks to Mr Anderson the gym teacher and Mr Murphy (Spud), Mr Thompson and of course "Ernie" and the great art teacher Mrs... who's name I have forgotten but not her face and the interest she took in us. I now own a nutraceutical company in Canada, and will always be thankful for the opportunity to attend "The Boy's Model". Signed on: 22/11/09 |

| John Cavanagh | Well this school. what can I say, I learned a lot from it and the teachers I got during my last few years helped me so much with my work. In Travel and Tourism with Miss McDowell and Mrs Beattie it was good even though I was sometimes a pain. I have to say thanks to all my teachers for their support.
