Went to the model from 88 to 93, and I'm very greatful havin done so, made many good mates which i'm still friendly with today, I have been all over the world with the Army and served in many colourful places !! Home, including the Model, has never been far from my thoughts.... i remember my father saying once before he died " school is the best days off your life boy " how right he was ! Good luck with the new school !

Signing in again. Just read an entry from my old friend John Thompson. Been a long time since we left the best school in Northern Ireland, although seems like yesterday in some respects. All well here John, hope all is well with you too. Wish i was back, school days were definitely the best!

1979 to 1984. Sad to see the main building demolished, has been a landmark my whole life "used to live beside it". Fond memories of "Basher Banks" the english teacher in that building, even though I was on the receiving end of the chalk X and meter stick!!

Attended 89-96. Best years of my life. Thanks to Mr Russell, Mr McKendry, Mr McDowell, Mr Stevenson, Mr Beattie, Mr McMorran, Mr Richards and everyone else who taught me. What a school and wish I could relive those years again.

I joined in September 1976 and left in June 1981. Managed to stay in the B class throughout the five years. Looking back, I have some great memories and some not so great - isn't that always the way!! Had some great teachers - Maggie Fry for showing me just how great Biology was (least said the better), Windy McDowell for doing his best to teach me Geography, big Anderson for giving me a love of history and of course the "Jont" for leaving me some skin on my hands. It was great to get a walk round the main building last week, and it will be a sad day when it is no longer a fixture on the Ballysillan, but hope everything goes well with the new build.

I was at the school 1997 until 2002. I am now the Head PGA Golf Professional in Ballyliffin golf club in Donegal. I just want to say a big thank you to Mr Stevenson and Mr Mills who helped me and a few friends out starting up a golf team in the school. If any of the teachers fancy getting out for a game I would be up for that anytime.

Also well done to the 4th years on their win in the Belfast cup

I'm in 9A2 and I've loved the past two years here. I think it is the best school in Northern Ireland.
