I was at the school 1997 until 2002. I am now the Head PGA Golf Professional in Ballyliffin golf club in Donegal. I just want to say a big thank you to Mr Stevenson and Mr Mills who helped me and a few friends out starting up a golf team in the school. If any of the teachers fancy getting out for a game I would be up for that anytime.

Also well done to the 4th years on their win in the Belfast cup

I'm in 9A2 and I've loved the past two years here. I think it is the best school in Northern Ireland.

What a great site, I have so many fond memories of my days at school. I was there from 88-94.Does anybody remember the Highway Patrol with Mr Stevenson (spot) at the helm. I had a great time drummin for that, such fun.

I've been in and out of the school over the years, workin in there (fitting blinds) and I have been in the new school which looks fantastic and well deserved should have been done years ago.

The teachers were great, Andy McMoran, Mr McConnell, Mr Keith, Miss Fry and a teacher that didnt come into the school until the last year I was there Mr. Cotton.

The Army cadets were great craic to and the trips away were always an adventure and great fun.

I just want to say a big thank you to all the teachers that were there during that time - a real inspiration to us all.

Where has the time gone. I still remember my first day in September 1990, being shown the temporary French huts that were still there when I left in 1997.
Plenty of fun was had then.

Why are there never any reunions for the school would be good fun to meet up again with old friends.

I think the Boys' Model must have given me a very sound education because ... Attended some time between 1957-59 - perhaps you can tell me. Did not live locally but travelled everyday across city from Rathcoole. Can't remember much to be honest. Went on to Hopefield school (now Newtownabbey). Left school, home and Ireland at age 15.

Gained apprenticeship as toolmaker in England as my Maths and English were of a very good standard. Later went on to take Hons degree and two Masters, college lecturer and manager, principal education adviser and Ofsted inspector. Still working as consultant advisor. I have attended hundreds of schools.

Attended between 74-81. Lots to thank some great teachers for. The legend that was Ernie for my love of rugby (dont let the good folk at Crusaders know); Jimmy Keith for showing me poetry isnt boring; Maggie Fry - just for being my favourite teacher ever!! Great seeing some of them at the 150th anniversary bash and and again in sadder circumstances at EWD's funeral. Live across the road from the school and looking forward to seeing the 'old' place again when the building work is finished.

I went between 1995-2000.In May 2010 I will have left school ten years, a decade has passed so quick but the great memories I have of going to the Model still remain and so do some of the friendships I made. Great school, great times.

I went to this brilliant school between 1978 and 83. I see some old class mates mentioned Sammy McIlwaine, Shane Barr and others. I hope all is well with you guys. Enough said about the teachers at that time....they were all an inspiration to us all.......Liz Armour, best teacher by a mile, Andy McMoran, Ma Currie. Good memories that will never leave.
