Our pupils from Senior School were treated to a dramatic performance stressing the importance of road and driving safety for both drivers and passengers. The performers, of the Walking Forward road safety group acted scenes from the play ‘Never Forget the Day’ which details the causes and repercussions of a traffic collision which leaves a young man paralysed.
The play itself began light-hearted and to a darker tone, the laughter turned to tears as the horrible accident occurs. The point came across effectively to the students who found themselves endeared to the characters and moved by what had happened. An enjoyable experience for the boys with an important message portrayed.
