Post 16

In Communities of Practice in Education (CoPE), all pupils undertake an enrichment area of their choice from the following:

  • Independent Living Skills (with Mrs Todd)

  • Music Performance (with Mrs Baird)

  • Duke of Edinburgh (with Mr Doherty)

  • Young Enterprise & App Building (with Miss Patterson)

  • Sports Coaching (with Mr Wilson)

  • Youth Leadership

  • Photography (with Mr McManus)

  • Leadership & Mentoring (with Grainne)

  • Youth Work Area Project (with Margaret)

  • Health & Fitness (with Miss Sykes)

  • Boxing

  • Cross-country (Games staff)

  • Walking Group (Games staff)

  • Indoor Sports (Games staff)

  • Social Football (with Mr McBride)

  • Football academy (with Mr Mills)

One year pupils complete the careers component in Year 13 and the two-year pupils complete the four enrichment units in Year 13 and the two careers units across Years 13 and 14.

The qualification is administered through CCEA and is 100% portfolio based.
