Our annual Remembrance Assemblies were held today in school. This was a significant year as we were commemorating the one hundredth anniversary of the end of World War One in 1918. Mr Todd spoke about the significant events that occurred in the course of the war such as the Somme and the Battle of Messines. Mr Carlisle spoke about the events of Armistice Day 1918 and the first and last British soldiers to die in the war. Two Year 11 pupils, Billy Joe McQuiston and Carson Boyd told us about their trip to the Western Front in the summer of 2018.
