Miss Greer, Mr McAuley and 11 Year 9 pupils had the opportunity today to attend Queen’s University Belfast to participate in a research project entitled “Conversations - The Story I want my life to be.” The boys were able to feedback to the professors about their experiences living and growing up in the Shankill area and what aspirations they have for themselves and their community in years to come.
The boys had the opportunity to tour the campus including visiting the Great Hall, rubbing Galileos’ foot for luck in their exams and even a quick visit to Botanic Gardens and the Ulster Museum. Having described the day as “ticket” many of the boys are looking forward to future visits in partnership with the university.
